Defence Work Experience Program

Defence Work Experience still has a few Career Specific Programs running for the remainder of 2024 which are closing soon. We are asking if you can notify any students who may be interested in the below careers and ask them to apply online ASAP to avoid disappointment.

-          1 Health Battalion (09-13 September) – 1 Health will be hosting a career specific program for students interested in a medical career.  This is a great opportunity to see what a health career and day to day military life is like in the Army.  As with the Military Police Program we recommend writing a strong application as 1 Health Battalion will select only 8 students to attend.

-          1 Brigade Band (15 October – 02 December: Tuesday Nights only) – The Band of the 1st Brigade (1 BDE Band) remains the primary musical capability for Army and Defence in the Northern Territory and provides support to Defence, Government and the regional community. This opportunity will allow 3 students the opportunity to perform with the band on a weekly basis and possibly perform at Carols by Candlelight as part of an end of year performance.
