Year 12 Retreat

The Year 12 Retreat was a meaningful and reflective experience for our students, centred on the theme Alpha and Omega— the beginning and the end. This theme, drawn from the words of Jesus in the Book of Revelation, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end” (Revelation 22:13), invited students to consider God’s presence across the entirety of their lives — past, present, and future.

As our Year 12 students stand at the threshold of completing their school journey and preparing for what lies ahead, the retreat provided an opportunity to pause and reflect on this significant transition. Through Liturgy, Gospel encounters and engaging group activities, students explored how Jesus meets people in moments of uncertainty, transition, and decision, offering guidance and hope.

The retreat offered students the chance to give thanks for their journey so far while prayerfully discerning the path ahead. It encouraged them to view their lives through the lens of faith — recognising that in every ending there is a new beginning, and that Christ has been, and will continue to be, present in every step.

Thanks to Mr Meynell, Mrs Bulich, and Mr McNulty for their commitment and care in supporting our students throughout the retreat. Thank you also to Ms Fiume, Fr Grant and our Year 12 teachers who came along to different parts of the retreat. We especially commend our Year 12 students for the thoughtful and joyful way in which they participated, helping to make the experience both meaningful and memorable for all involved.
