SES

SES Visit Year 10 Students as part of their Active Volunteer studies.
Our Year 10 students recently had the exciting opportunity to work with the State Emergency Service (SES) during an engaging and interactive session focused on the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community. SES members spoke with students about the valuable role volunteers play in supporting local communities during emergencies and disasters, while also sharing information about teamwork, leadership, and community service.
Students were highly engaged throughout the session and particularly enjoyed exploring the SES trucks, tools, and emergency equipment up close. The opportunity to hear the sirens in action was a definite highlight of the day and created plenty of excitement amongst the group. We thank the SES volunteers for taking the time to visit Heatherwood and provide such a hands-on and informative experience for our students.
