Maddocks Gardens Performance

The string ensemble gave its annual performance at Maddocks Gardens on Wednesday this week. The string ensemble has a long association performing at the aged care facility and the residents love hearing them every year, some getting in early to get the best seats.

They played a range of beautiful music including Singing in the Rain, The Bluey Theme Song and Theme from the Man From Snowy River. The audience thoroughly enjoyed it some reminiscing about their own music education.

A huge congratulations goes to the students for their fine performance.  Also thank you to Ally Orr for preparing the ensemble so beautifully, Kees Dogger for playing bass with them and James Newman for transporting the equipment.

Music Tour Up-Date

Plans for music tour are in the final stages and should be available to families soon. This year we are going to Coburg to give concerts to primary schools in that area. We will be stopping in Morwell on the way and Gembrook on the way home. A very special event this year is attending a performance of My Fair Lady in the newly renovated State Theatre. The ensembles are working hard to prepare, and it is worth reminding students that they should try hard to attend them as well as do some practice at home.
