2026 Athletics Carnival

The 2026 Athletics Carnival, held on Tuesday 28 April, was a fantastic day for the UHS community. With beautiful autumn sunshine all day, it was great to see a record number of students getting involved, participating in events and showing plenty of house spirit.
Students proudly dressed in their house colours throughout the day, and the new house tattoos were a huge hit, with many students getting into the spirit and wearing them proudly. One of the standout moments was our first-ever costume parade, which brought plenty of fun and laughter to the carnival. Congratulations to the winning groups — the dinosaurs and the bumble bees — whose creativity certainly stood out.
Another highlight was the inaugural UHS Gift, where some of our fastest student sprinters took on staff members in a very competitive 100m race. The crowd loved it, and all competitors should be congratulated for putting on such an entertaining event.
A special moment of the day was the final lap completed by the Year 12 Class of 2026. With the whole school cheering them on, it was a memorable way for the students to celebrate their final athletics carnival at UHS.
Congratulations to Coleman House, who took out the overall win for 2026. The final results were:
● Coleman – 1261 points
● Gulam – 1068 points
● Triggs – 1001 points
● Johnston – 909 points
