Wellbeing Team Updates

IDAHOBIT Celebrations on Friday, 15th May.
IDAHOBIT activities in the quad and Library were the perfect way to mark International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia whiling celebrating the diverse students at Uni High. The library had their annual drag story time and cupcakes, always a massive hit with students and staff. In the quad we had a feel-good playlist selected by students. There were tattoos, facepainting, stickers and snacks. There is no greater pride than seeing our students celebrate Pride! Many staff and students (including our principle) came with beautiful rainbow outfits on full display.
Visit from Drummond Street Youth Services
UHS was very lucky last Wednesday (13th May) to have a lovely team from Drummond St Youth Services visit and host a lunchtime Girls Hang for our students - complete with nail art, polaroids, tattoos, and other fun activities! This was a great way for young women to speak about matters important to them with Drummond Street, and learn more about what programs Drummond St offer the community.
