Middle School

Middle School News – Years 9 & 10
The start of Term 3 has been a busy and rewarding time for our Middle School students. With a range of wellbeing, pathway and extracurricular opportunities underway, it has been fantastic to see our Year 9 and 10 students continuing to engage with their learning and thinking about their future.
LoveBites Workshop – Year 10
On Friday 28 August, all Year 10 students will participate in the LoveBites Workshop, which will run throughout the school day.
Students are asked to wear their PE uniform for the day.
We are also fortunate to be able to provide students with a sausage sizzle lunch. We are still accepting gold coin contributions for hot chips, which can be dropped off at the Middle School Office.
We look forward to providing our students with an opportunity to engage in important conversations and learning throughout the day.
Legally Blonde – The Musical
Our school musical, Legally Blonde, is fast approaching, with performances taking place during the week of 7 September.
We are incredibly excited to see the talent and hard work of our Middle School students on display. Students and staff have been working tirelessly through rehearsals, and we are sure the final production will be a fantastic celebration of their dedication and creativity.
Year 10 Pathways Interviews
A big thank you to our Year 10 students and families for their time and effort in preparing for and participating in the recent Pathways Interviews.
The interviews were a great success, providing students and families with an opportunity to discuss subject choices, pathways and options for their transition into Senior School. We hope these conversations have provided families with greater clarity and confidence as they plan for the years ahead.
Year 9 Subject Selections and Fast-Tracking
Thank you to our Year 9 families for supporting students as they begin making subject selections for next year.
We also appreciate the conversations families have been having with their children and teachers regarding VCE fast-tracking options. These discussions play an important role in helping students understand their opportunities and make informed decisions about their learning and future pathways.
VET, Fast Track and Subject Selections
A big thank you to Ms Donna Morante, our Future Pathways Leader, who has been meeting individually with students to provide one-on-one support with their pathway planning.
Ms Morante has been working with students to help them understand their options and preferences, as well as the steps involved in making informed decisions about their future studies.
Students who would like additional support with their pathway planning are encouraged to speak with Ms Morante.
Middle School Reminders
As we move further into Term 3, we encourage all Year 9 and 10 students to maintain the positive routines and expectations that support their learning and success each day.
Students are reminded to:
- Bring their student planner to every class.
- Arrive at school and classes on time and ready to learn.
- Wear the correct school uniform each day and obtain a uniform pass from the Middle School Office when required.
- Come prepared with the stationery and equipment needed for each class.
Continue to demonstrate achievement, respect and connection towards their peers and staff.
Thank you to our Middle School students, families and staff for the continued commitment and support throughout Term 3. We look forward to all that the remainder of the term will bring.
