YEAR 9

Beginning their first year of Drama, Year 9 students have been learning about key dramatic elements and onstage performance. This Term saw students build their understanding around chorus movements to develop a Drama performance piece collaboratively. With new terminology and new ideas, Year 9 drama has loved the experience of exploring creative characters, and working with others onstage. 

YEAR 11

Year 11 Drama have begun their Stage 6 studies, learning about the topic of ‘Improvisation, Playbuilding and Acting’. Students have worked more closely with Improvisation, and building their performance skills for the stage throughout this Term. Additionally, Year 11 drama have worked on acting techniques, and put these skills into practice as they created their own group performance piece. Year 11 Drama playbuilding assignment task allowed students to collaborate creatively using dramatic intention, and key conventions, to create interest for audiences.
