⚖️ Law, Life & Lessons: Alumni Jessie Knights

Term 2 was a busy one, with four alumni sessions involving eight former students and a past Assistant Principal. The final session of the term featured local criminal defence lawyer Jessie Knights returning to speak with the VCE Legal Studies class.

Jessie Knights, Class of 2011, spoke to students about her university experience, the cost of studying law, and the changes she has seen within the legal profession, including the rise of flexible post-COVID-19 work arrangements. Although her office is based in Melbourne, Jessie is able to live and work primarily in North East Victoria. She also shared examples of interesting and challenging cases and generously offered to provide further advice to any students interested in pursuing a legal career.

Looking ahead, we have Lincoln Sharpe (Class of 1992), who has worked as a sound professional in the television and film industries for the past 27 years, returning to speak with VET Music Industry students. We also look forward to welcoming Rheegan Ellis (Class of 2021), a social media and marketing specialist, who will speak with Year 12 Media students.
