U15’s Girls League Tag
On Tuesday, 22 September, our Under 15s Girls League Tag team headed down to Parramore Park for the local Gala Day. Facing off against strong competition from schools across the region, our players represented the school with immense pride, grit, and outstanding sportsmanship.
The team launched their pool campaign in commanding style, securing a decisive 32–0 victory over Junee High School. They maintained this momentum through the remainder of the group stage, delivering strong wins against Xavier Catholic College (22–0) and Kooringal High School (18–0). This undefeated run, driven by relentless effort and discipline, earned them a well-deserved place in the grand final against Mater Dei Catholic College. The girls capped off an exceptional day in the final match, combining their persistent defense with a clinical attack to claim a stellar 34–0 victory and take home the title.
The team now progresses to the Riverina Finals, held again at Paramore park in November.
Congratulations to the team not only on the outstanding skill and ability displayed on the field, but also on their exemplary conduct and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
AFL 7-9 Boys State Finals in Canberra
Great effort by our 7-9 Boys AFL team, who recently represented Kildare Catholic College at the State Finals in Canberra. This year they were looking to defend their state title from last year.
The boys played outstanding football throughout the gala day, displaying fantastic skill, determination and sportsmanship. Battling hard against top-tier competition from across the state, they dropped only a single game on their way to a well-deserved place in the Grand Final.
Facing off against Albury High School in the Grand final match, the team gave it everything they had right until the final siren. Finishing 2nd in the state is an incredible achievement that our school community can be immensely proud of.
Congratulations to all the players who participated on the day.
