Welcome back!!

A warm welcome back to all of our existing and new families.  Please find below important information from the office staff!

Permission Forms Now on Sentral

We’re making things easier and more environmentally friendly! All permission forms for excursions, camps, and incursions will now be available on Sentral—no more paper forms.

With Sentral Activities, you can conveniently give permission and make payments for your child’s activities all in one place.

If needed, paper forms are still available upon request from the office, but we strongly encourage all families to use the Sentral App for a smoother and more efficient experience.

Student Absences

If your child will be absent, please call the office at 5334 6328 (Press 1 for the Absence Line) or log the absence via the Sentral App.

For upcoming or past absences, kindly notify the office or log it via Sentral. If the absence is extended, such as for a family holiday, please also inform your child’s Teacher.

All late arrivals must sign in at the office before heading to class.

If you need to collect your child early, please notify the office in the morning or as soon as possible. This helps us coordinate with teachers and ensures your child is ready for pick-up. If you drop in unexpectedly, especially during breaks, please be patient as it may take some time to ready your child.

It is a department requirement that all absences are reported. Any unexplained absence will prompt an automatic follow-up text at 9:45 AM.

Camps, Sports & Excursion (CSEF) 

Families with a current, valid Concession or Health Care Card may be eligible to apply for the Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund (CSEF).

If you successfully applied for CSEF in 2024 or previous years, you do NOT need to submit a new application for 2025 unless your family circumstances have changed (e.g., a Foundation student starting school or transferring from another school).

Application forms are available at the office or in the attached document. Please complete the form and return it along with a copy of your financially means-tested card (we can make a copy at the office). Kindly submit your forms as soon as possible.

Conveyance Allowance

If you live more than 4.8 km from the school and Miners Rest Primary is the closest Government School to your home, you may be eligible for the Conveyance Allowance.

Please visit the office to collect the necessary form, which must be returned by 7/3/2025.

Miners Rest Primary School Hats

The school is now selling broad-brimmed Miners Rest Primary School hats for $17 each, available for purchase directly from the office. These are the same hats sold by Beleza.
