Toolangi Camp – February 2026
From Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th February 2026, Reservoir High School students attended a three-day camp at Toolangi. The camp program was filled with exciting and challenging activities, including archery, obstacle course, flying fox, climbing tower, bushwalk, high ropes and hut building.
I had the pleasure of leading Group 6, a wonderful team of ten students made up of five boys and five girls. Throughout the camp, our group demonstrated teamwork, resilience and a positive attitude. Students supported one another during both instructor-led and teacher-led activities, building confidence and strengthening friendships.
One highlight for Group 6 was the obstacle course. Veda showed remarkable courage and determination while completing the course. Even after injuring her knee, she remained calm and brave. I would also like to commend Zoe for her excellent organisational skills and leadership. She immediately stepped in to assist Veda, carefully cleaning and bandaging her knee. Zoe’s thoughtful and responsible actions were truly commendable and reflected strong teamwork and care for others.
Students also challenged themselves during high ropes and the climbing tower, pushing beyond their comfort zones. The flying fox was a favourite for many, while archery required focus and precision. The bushwalk allowed students to appreciate the natural environment and hut building encouraged creativity and collaboration.
Overall, Toolangi Camp was a valuable experience that promoted independence, resilience and cooperation. I am very proud of Group 6 and the way they represented our school. It was a memorable three days filled with growth, laughter and achievement.
