100 Days of School!!!!

Our Foundation students recently celebrated an exciting milestone—100 Days of School! It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, learning and celebration as students reflected on how much they have grown since their very first day of school.

Throughout the day, students took part in a variety of fun, hands-on activities centred around the number 100. They enjoyed literacy and maths activities that celebrated everything 100! Including some craft and hands-on tasks as well!

It was wonderful to see all their amazing costumes of what they would like to be when they are older!

Reaching 100 days is about much more than a number—it is a celebration of the incredible learning, friendships, confidence and resilience our Foundation students have developed throughout the year! We are so proud of everything they have achieved and look forward to many more exciting learning experiences together!

Maths Fluency

This Term we have started a Maths Fluency Program at St Joes! The 3/4's have become Wiz's as they started last Term trialling it, and so now it is our turn! This fluency program is a 5-minute-a-day program where the students work on learned skills to become fluent in them by becoming faster and quicker at knowing them. In Foundation, we have been focusing on subitising- looking at the dice and knowing the number without counting. 

Sentence Writing

This Term we will be focusing a lot more on writing sentences, by focusing on sounding out words, writing on the lines and using punctuation. It has been great to see the focus on this in the classroom already!

Assembly 

On Wednesday, we are hosting assembly at 2:10 pm in the SPA centre! Would love to see you there!
