日本語 Japanese

Konnichiwa from Japanese Class! In Foundation and Grades 1 and 2, we have been reading a Japanese picture book called "Colour monster". It is about different types of feelings and how to manage and control them. They enjoyed making their colour monster with little jars to sort out their emotions in Japanese.

Grades 3 to 6 have been learning and revising the days of the week in Japanese with emoji. There was World Emoji Day on the 17th of July, and they learned that the emoji originated in Japan around 30 years ago.

Our Japanese Fun Day will be on the 1st of September, and only four more weeks to go. Take a time to think about what we are wearing for the costume parade, everyone. Parents are more than welcome to stay and watch this parade at 9 o'clock. We have started to plan for this day with Grades 5 and 6. We will announce more about it in the following newsletter.

Stay tune.

Any suggestions and questions are welcome.
