Last week, our female students had the opportunity to attend a Trade and Tech Expo in Melbourne to discover career pathways in the many growing and critical sectors of Victoria's economy, in traditionally male focused industries. Students engaged with tradies, apprentices and industry professionals, providing insight into career pathways where females are underrepresented. Students participated in hands-on experiences, saw engaging displays and had supportive conversations.

Our wonderful BSC Community came together to support FightMND through our annual Footy Colours Day fundraiser! Students proudly wore their favourite sporting colours, staff bravely took on the Ice Bucket Challenge, and the community participated and donated to support a great cause. OMG Decadents Donuts East Gippsland joined us on the day and donated $1 from every donut sold to the fundraiser, and they were delicious!

As part of the Year 9 Broadening Horizons program, Year 9 students were given the opportunity to attend Melbourne Day trips. This week saw the first of these trips with groups attending MetArtWorld and Melbourne Zoo. Students engaged in these events with enthusiasm and explored parts of the CBD some had never seen before!

Mr Field's Year 9 Digital Photography students have captured nature's beauty using a macro lens! Macro photography is extreme close-up photography where small subjects are magnified to appear larger than life-size in the final image.
