Music Notes

The Music Department has had a busy and exciting year! 

The end of Term 3 saw the Year 12s showcasing their impressive recital programs at multiple local venues, and we held another highly successful Jazz Latin Soul concert! 

Term 4 has been packed with music soirees and events as we close out the year. The Orchestra blew us away at our sold out Acoustic Music Night, and all five choirs wowed the large audience at our recent Vocal Night! Recently, our Year 11 VCE class collaborated to put on a great band showcase in the school music courtyard.

Last week, the Year 10 band class put on a wonderful show at the Bergy Bandroom. The Music Department’s End of Year Twilight Concert ran alongside the PHSC Student Council’s first Twilight Market and it was a huge success to round off our concerts for 2025! Congratulations to all of the ensembles, student and staff bands involved. 

Congratulations and farewell to our amazing Year 12 music cohort. This outstanding group of young musicians have been heavily involved in our music program all the way up until the very end of school!

We are looking forward to another great year in the Music Department for 2026 and hope you all have a restful break.
