Thursday Lunchtime Performances

Venus Halfshell band members Seth Finningan (Guitarist and Lead Vocalist, Year 10), Ben Bell (Guitarist, Year 10), Amy Kalisperis (Bassist, Year 11), and James Price (Drummer, Year 10) are pictured at the first of our Thursday Lunchtime Performances.

Venus Halfshell are one of our more well established VET Music program bands currently working towards their Certificate III in Music Performance. Recently, they not only performed to a massive crowd of their peers and teachers, but also set up most of the gear themselves as part of the requirements of their course.

The courtyard was packed full of eager listeners as the band played 90’s Grunge covers and original tracks (some tracks making their first debut today!) This band has been increasing their coverage in the public, having played a few paid gigs last year. 

Soon, the band will take to the stage in Geelong to compete in a Battle of the Bands. Their Ballarat fans will show them full support and hope they bring back the win! 

Next lunchtime performance should be in a fortnight. I hope the weather is just as lovely and the crowd are just as supportive as they were of Venus Halfshell's first performance.
