Junk Journal Club
Mrs Georgia Coutts
Looking for a club that lets you express your creativity? Come along to Junk Journal Club every Thursday in the library for a relaxing lunchtime of crafting, chats and creativity! All are welcome whether you love to journal already, are new to journaling or just prefer to draw or collage.
Junk Journaling is a creative way of journaling that uses found material and recycled goods such as old magazines, tickets, packaging, photographs, stickers, fabric scraps and handwritten notes to create unique pages. It is all about memory collecting and giving new life to everyday items that might otherwise be thrown away. Students are encouraged to bring along any item they wish to include in their journals or activities as well as using the materials provided.
This term we will be focusing on mini projects. Students have started with creating pages for their own zines which we will collate and share copies of. Later in the term we will be using our journal skills to make personalised fridge magnets, with many more fun projects to come!
No experience is needed, whether you want to work on a detailed journal page, create a quick project or simply relax with a hot drink and some creative company, Junk Journal Club is the perfect place to unwind in Term 2!
