Maths Learning Area

VCE Mathematics 

Mathematics at Greensborough College continues to go from strength to strength. We have strong enrolments across VCE General Maths and Maths Methods in both Year 11 and Year 12. 

Advanced classes 

Our Advanced Maths classes move at a faster pace and place greater emphasis on reasoning and problem‑solving. Their aim is to prepare students, so they have the capacity to study Maths Methods and Specialist Maths. 

Student placement between Core and Advanced classes is dynamic. Classes are reviewed each semester through collaboration within year-level maths teams to best support individual student learning needs. Families will be contacted if a change is made.
