Meet Our New Wellbeing Team Manager

Marg  Lawless Retirement

After almost 25 years of dedicated service to RHS, our Student Wellbeing Leader, Marg Lawless, retired at the end of Term 1. During her time at the school, Marg began as an English teacher before moving into the role of Student Wellbeing Coordinator.

Marg has been an incredible source of support for students, families and staff alike. Her compassion, wisdom and ability to listen so thoughtfully have made a lasting impact on our school community, and she will be greatly missed. We sincerely thank her for the outstanding contribution she has made over so many years.

The Wellbeing Team is especially grateful for Marg’s leadership, guidance and ongoing support, and they will miss her immensely. On the final day of Term 1, we were fortunate to celebrate Marg’s remarkable career with a lovely lunch attended by current and former staff, all coming together to acknowledge and thank her for her years of hard work and dedication.

Last week we were pleased to welcome our new Wellbeing Team Leader, Matt, to the team.  Matt joins us with extensive relevant experience and we've already enjoyed a positive start to working together in this new team dynamic.

Please see below for an introduction to Matt.

Hey!

My name is Matt Phan - I use he/him pronouns - I am really excited to be the new Wellbeing Team Manager at Reservoir High School!

I was born in Naarm (Melbourne), and my family comes from Italy and Cornwall. I am a social worker, casual Collingwood and Chelsea supporter, amateur volleyball player and boardgame geek!

I am a parent to a chubby 12-week-old boy named Kai and a 3-legged cat, appropriately named Cardi Three.

Feel free to say hi! if you see me around in the yard, in the wellbeing space or at breakfast club!
