Sustainability and Gardening Club

Are you 'Sort'd'?
Our school 'Sort'd' competition has officially begun, with LC1 in the Lead.
A reminder: the aim of the competition is to gain as many points as you can for your Learning Centre, with the LC with the most points at the end of term winning a Fun Friday prize! LC's can collect points by having the least amound of rubbish in their bins, sorting their rubbish correctly, and putting out their bins (compost and bottles / cans) ready for collection on Friday Afternoons.
Good luck to all the Learning Centres!
Do you have any tissue boxes to spare?
Our school's Sustainability Leaders are participating in Love Your Locals again this year, which helps to raise awareness of our local endangered animals.
As part of our project the students are creating bookmarks from recycled tissue boxes. We would be grateful for any clean, empty tissue boxes to help with this project. Tissue boxes can be given to your Learning Centre teacher, who will then pass them on to the Sustainability Leaders.
Would you like to get involved in Sustainable gardening at home?
The Wyndham City Council has some fantastic resources and ways to get involved in sustainability at home, including the Habitat Heroes program for residents.
