Welcome Back to Term 4

With the sun, finally making a more permanent appearance and offering all of us the warmth we return to the term where so much is happening….

Annual Awards Evening

At the end of the holidays over 180 students received an invitation to our annual Awards Evening. Our Awards are based on living out our core values in the daily life at school.

These Awards are as follows:

  • Welcoming and Including All
  • Strength and Kindness
  • Practising Justice and Service
  • Living with Hope and Wonder
  • Love of Learning

We look forward to sharing in next edition of the Marian all of those students who will receive an award on Thursday evening.

At this time, we will also acknowledge our Graduating Year 12 class of 2023.

This is a very important date on our calendar and we look forward to this being a celebration of who we are as a school.

Friday 13 October – Year 12 Celebration Day

As the school year comes to an end for our Year 12’s we will have a celebration morning on Friday 13 October. The students will enjoy a breakfast, share memories with the community and then walk through a guard of honour as they leave the school and begin their preparation for exams.

We look forward to this being a day of celebration and reflection for all.

Review of our School Policies

Over the coming weeks we will be reviewing our policies in the areas of Digital Citizenship, Bullying and Harassment and our Behaviour Management Policy.

The review of the Digital Citizenship policy will focus on the use of mobile phones both in classrooms and over the course of the day.

Changes to these policies will be shared with our community in the coming weeks.

Uniform Update

On the students return to Term 4 the summer uniform is to be worn and includes the following:

  • Summer dress or school pants/emblemed shirt
  • Long white socks with the summer dress
  • The Jumper as an optional item
  • The School blazer should be worn to and from school each day
  • Health and PE uniform – either College PE shorts or tracksuit pants are appropriate with the school polo
  • Sports socks are to be worn with the PE uniform only

If any student requires uniform items, they can be purchased at the school uniform shop that is open on both Wednesday and Friday from recess to 1.30 pm (the end of lunchtime)

As we begin the transition towards exams and our step up program in November, we look forward to sharing our achievements during this term and the school year.
