Marian College – Student Life 1980
Moving to Secondary School can be daunting, as Maria explained below in the 1980 Magazine. We can see in this photo that friendships and fun soon develop from shared experiences. Do you still see your friends from school? If you know anyone in this photo we’d love to hear from you.
First Day at School, by Maria Theodore
Perhaps I felt a bit lost amongst all the upper class girls who so confidently know their way around. There’s a challenge of new faces and new activities every time I turn around. Each class period I find myself with a new teacher and maybe a new classroom along with new classmates as well.
Besides all these “regular” new things, perhaps the school has already started its program of assemblies, activities, extras and clubs.
But new faces and new ways are not the only challenges being tossed at me. More important, there are new ideas and new decisions.
