Principal's Message
Dear Marian College families,
It is that time of the year where we take a moment to acknowledge the significant impact that six years of education has had on our Year 12 students and the contribution they have made to the development at the College. These young people have embarked on a remarkable journey of learning, growth, and self-discovery since they first walked through our doors as Year 7 students. They have overcome challenges, celebrated achievements, and forged lasting friendships along the way. There is no doubt that the transformation from Year 7 to Year 12 is truly inspiring. Our Year 12 students have not only gained knowledge and academic skills but have also developed into well-rounded individuals ready to take on the next phase of their lives. They have shown resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to their education which we commend them for.
And the cycle of life continues to turn. As we bid farewell to our Year 12 students, we also warmly welcome a new cohort of students at Year 7 who will begin in 2024. We were able to do that personally on Saturday 8 October when they attended the College for literacy and numeracy testing. These young minds are stepping into a new world of opportunities, and we are excited to be a part of their educational journey. The coming year will be a fresh start filled with curiosity, potential, and endless possibilities.
To our Year 12 students, we wish you all the best for your examinations or in the completion of your course of study. As you move forward into higher education, the workforce, or whichever path you choose, remember that the knowledge and experiences you have gained here will continue to shape your future, and we have every confidence in your ability to succeed. This is a time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future, knowing that education is a lifelong journey that enriches us all.
Congratulations to our Year 12 students.
Design, Art & Technology Exhibition 2023
Congratulations to the Design, Art and Technology department for organizing a spectacular exhibition. This event not only showcases the incredible talent within our school but also demonstrates the dedication and hard work of our students.
The exhibition was an example of the creativity and innovation fostered by our department. It provided a platform for our students to express themselves through their endeavours, no matter the genre, and the results were nothing short of exceptional. The pieces on display were also a reflection of the skills and passion instilled in our students by our talented team.
I want to commend our students for their outstanding work. The effort you put into your projects were truly remarkable and your talents have shone brightly in this exhibition.
This exhibition not only celebrates the achievements of our students but also serves as an inspiration to others. It reminds us all of the importance of creativity and innovation. It is an example of the outstanding work that can be accomplished when students and staff come together in pursuit of excellence.
Once again, congratulations to the Design, Art and Technology department for organizing this wonderful event, and well done to our talented students for their excellent work.
