Congratulations, Sophie Lee & Stella McIntosh!

Congratulations to Junior School student Sophie Lee (6 Millward) on competing at the School Sports Australian Games. Sophie came 5th in 12yo 50m Breaststroke, 9th in 12yo 200m Individual Medley and 4th in the 12yo 4X200m Freestyle Relay. Great results against the best age group swimmers in Australia.

Congratulations to Stella McIntosh (7 Jenkin) who also competed. Stella competed in her second Australian Games having also competed last year. Stella also had a great meet coming 11th in the 12yo 100m Butterfly and 2nd in the 10-12yo 4X200m Freestyle Handicap Relay. Congratulations to both students on representing Victoria on the Australian swimming stage!


Congratulations, Emma Pomeroy!

Emma Pomeroy (8 Jones) recently competed at the Australian Country Swimming championships 27 September-1 October in Darwin, representing Bendigo Hawks Aquatic. Emma competed in 8 finals across freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke and won gold in the 200 butterfly and silver in the 100 and 50 butterfly. 

Congratulations to Emma on this wonderful achievement!

Maurice Bryant (8 Jenkin) recently competed in and came 3rd in the Enduro Mountain Bike National Championship Race in Western Australia. Congratulations, Maurice!


Congratulations, Clarissa Salvatore

Congratulations to Clarissa Salvatore (8 Millward) who is a part of the Movement Zone Dance Studio in Castlemaine. This year, the MZ Crew entered a Hollywood Bound Competition in Sydney and were the winners of Senior Hip Hop Dance 2025 for Country Victoria. Clarissa and her team will now go on to represent Country Victoria in the National Championships in the Gold Coast, Queensland in 2026.

Congratulations, Tom Rosa!

Congratulations to Tom Rosa (7 Millward) who has recently acccepted an offer to play with Bendigo City Football Club for the Youth State League Under 14s in 2026.


Congratulations, Skye McPartlane!

Skye McPartlane (8 Millward) has been auditioning for a role in a production of Matilda in Melbourne with a Melbourne theatre company.  Skye was successful in getting a callback and has now been offered a role in the ensemble for the play. We look forward to cheering Skye on from the front row!

Congratulations, Bronte Flanagan!

Bronte Flanagan (12 Jenkin) recently completed filming her documentary, “Too Far Offside” which has been chosen to be shown at a conference here in Bendigo about gender equity run by Bendigo Health. Representatives from across Australia will be in attendance. It is part of the Greater Bendigo Gender Equity Coalition.

 

Bronte and Ruby Flanagan (10 Jenkin) have been asked to sit on a panel to discuss the video and its evolution. It will also be run in the mall on the big screen for a period of time and the Bendigo Library. We wish to congratulate Bronte on her hard work and dedication over this amazing project and wish her all the best for both the upcoming conference and for her exams.

Congratulations, Azia Fong-Sutton!

Azia Fong-Sutton (9 Aherne) is having a fantastic time and gaining valuable insights through her work experience as part of the STEM program. She is completing her placement with the Finance Department at the Bendigo Council GovHub.

 

During her placement, Azia has:

  • participated in an excursion exploring systems for tracking paths and routes using GPS technology,
  • learned how to complete data entry for invoices,
  • attended the Women in Non-Traditional Roles forum, and
  • enjoyed morning tea with her “work colleagues” on certain mornings with frequent flow of 'hot chocolates'.

 

Azia is truly making the most of this valuable opportunity, congratulations, Azia!
