Last Day of Year 12 Celebrations

The Class of 2025 marked their final day at school with the traditional Church Service at Forest Street Uniting Church. Led by School Chaplain Rev. Karen Reid, the service was a heartfelt occasion filled with gratitude, as students expressed thanks to their parents and teachers for guiding them throughout their educational journey.

Following the service, Year 12 students gathered for their final House Assembly, which featured touching tributes through slideshows and farewell messages. The celebrations then continued with fun-filled festivities, including novelty games, food trucks, and student interviews reflecting on their time at Girton.

Later in the day, parents and special guests joined the Final Assembly, where Dr O’Rielly delivered a moving address praising the cohort’s remarkable spirit of connection. She reflected on their resilience, particularly as their first steps into Senior School in Year 7 coincided with learning from home during COVID. The Final Assembly is available to watch online for those who could not attend.

The day concluded with a final walk through the school, where students were honoured by a guard of honour before gathering on the oval for a spirited rendition of the School Song. We are immensely proud of this outstanding group of graduates and wish them every success in their upcoming examinations.
