🚓Victoria Police Career Starters Pathway
The Career Starters Pathway is a new initiative designed to provide a dedicated pathway for Year 12 students interested in a career in policing. The program allows eligible 17 and 18-year-old applicants to begin the recruitment process before reaching the current minimum application age of 18, supporting a smoother transition from school into a policing career.
Participants will have access to a range of engagement and support opportunities throughout their recruitment journey, including familiarisation activities, mentoring and guidance from Victoria Police members, and regular touchpoints designed to maintain interest and engagement while progressing through the recruitment process.

🏛️ Parliament of Victoria Work Experience 2027
Expressions of interest to complete a work experience placement in the Sitting Week Program at the Parliament of Victoria in Terms 1 and 2, 2027 are now open. Interested students are encouraged to lodge an expression of interest via the online link: https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/about/careers/work-experience/
Sitting Week Program placements can only take place during weeks when Parliament is sitting; therefore, we cannot accommodate students during school holidays. Placements are open to students in Victorian schools who are residents of Victoria and are aged 15 years or over at the time of their placement. Preference is given to students in Year 10.
Sitting Week Program placements provide the opportunity to see the workings of Parliament up close. Students will go behind the scenes with the staff who directly support the sittings of Parliament to gain a deeper understanding of our democratic processes.
🪖 Year 9 Army Careers Day
Last Friday our Year 9 students had the exciting opportunity to attend an Army Careers Day at Puckapunyal, designed to showcase the wide variety of career pathways available within the Australian Defence Force.
It was fantastic to see our students engaging, asking questions and discovering just how many diverse career opportunities are available within the Army.
The day was a real eye-opener for our students, providing them with the opportunity to explore careers they may not have previously considered. Students heard firsthand from Australian Defence Force members about their experiences, careers and lifestyle, while also learning about the many benefits of a career in Defence.
A big thank you to the Australian Defence Force for providing our Year 9 students with such a valuable and inspiring experience!
