Year 9 Forensic Science – A Pawsome Visit! 🐾
Our Year 9 Forensic Science students had a special visit from Ash the Labrador as part of their learning about detection dogs and their role in forensic investigations.
Students learnt about why Labradors are commonly used as detection dogs, how their remarkable sense of smell is trained and the different ways these dogs can assist in real-world situations. Having Ash in the classroom provided students with an exciting opportunity to connect their classroom learning with a real-life example.
Students asked questions, shared their observations and, of course, enjoyed plenty of puppy cuddles along the way!
We would like to thank Karen for bringing Ash into the classroom and making the experience so engaging and memorable for our students. It was also Ash’s birthday, so our Year 9s were delighted to help celebrate her special day with some birthday treats! 🎂🐶
