Congratulations German Classes – Choreography Award for German Competition

The AGTV  (Association of German Teachers’ Victoria) run competitions for students to showcase their language skills. As part of “Musik im Mai” (Music in May) students danced to the chorus of the song “Gute Laune” by GroßstadtEngel. Thank you to Eva Wiesmath, the college’s German Language Assistant for supporting the classes with their entries.

The energy and enthusiasm of the students matched the song title, which translated into English is “Good Vibes/Mood”.  Students translated the song’s chorus to make the moves relevant to the text. 7H and 7G classes were finalists and awarded the Choreography Award. 8B also created an entry for the event.

Some of the students reflections

“It was fun to dance together and choregraph the chorus”
“The song is very catchy”
“Wir haben gute Laune!” (We are in a good mood!)
“I can add my certificate to my CV”

All students received a certificate and confectionary to celebrate their participation and prize-winning entry. The certificate is awarded by the AGTV and can proudly feature in their Curriculum Vitae (CV). In addition to their language skills, their entry also demonstrates time management, collaboration and creativity, which are skills that panels for special programs and employers value.
