VCE Vocational Major Market Expo Evening

On Tuesday 23 June, the VCE Vocational Major students at MGSC came together to host a successful VM Market Evening as part of the 2027 Subject Information Expo.

This was truly a student-led event, with all VM students playing an important role in bringing the evening together. From setting up stalls and preparing food to creating marketing signage, welcoming visitors, meeting and greeting families, selling products and packing down at the end of the evening, students demonstrated an impressive level of commitment and responsibility.

The evening provided students with an authentic opportunity to showcase their communication, organisation and teamwork skills. Working collaboratively, students were required to manage a range of responsibilities and adapt to the demands of running a busy event.

The VM Market Evening was a huge success, with large numbers of Year 9 and Year 10 students and their families attending to support the VM students and explore the range of stalls on offer. The evening also provided an opportunity for families to learn more about the VCE VM program at MGSC and the opportunities available to students through the program.

The success of the evening was a wonderful reflection of the creativity, initiative and teamwork of our VCE VM students. We are incredibly proud of the way they took ownership of the event and worked together to make the evening such a success.
