Food Studies Excursion

In the final week of Term 2 Unit 3 & 4 Food Studies students went to Ceres in Brunswick to learn about sustainability in the food system. Ceres is a community garden, social enterprise and educational centre where the students learnt about seasonal planting, crop rotation, the benefits of urban farming, composting and soil health.

It was a wonderful hands on day where the students were about to plant their own Warrigal Greens, taste native bushfoods and create their own compost.
