YEAR 7 ART CLUB TAKES ON A SPECIAL PROJECT
At McKinnon SC, creativity knows no bounds, especially within the walls of the Year 7 Art Club. This year, our new members are not only delving into their own artistic passions but are also embarking on a special project that combines art with literature.
Under the guidance of our senior Art Captains, the Year 7 students have taken on a unique challenge proposed by the school librarian: To create an artwork displaying the word "READ," which will find its permanent home at the library.
Students have been so far brainstorming ideas for each letter and trying to assign themes related to different types of literature/books. Adding a touch of nostalgia, each letter will incorporate old book pages and illustrations in different ways.
It is really exciting to see our young artists’ eagerness to leave a lasting mark on the McKinnon Road campus and contribute to making our school an even more vibrant and welcoming place.
Stay tuned for updates on the progress of our "READ" artwork - a testament to the creative and collaborative spirit of our school.
