YEAR 11 FORMAL
The leap day we'll never forget - the 2024 Year 11 formal!!
After weeks of meticulously planning suits, dresses, makeup, and nails, on Thursday 29 February, 400 eager students poured into Merrimu Receptions in Murrumbeena, prepared for an evening of lost voices, dancing, and sore feet.
A reinvention of the previous years' informal formed quickly; with Mr Kan in the spotlight of a huge circle of dolled-up Year 11s, chanting Abba profusely. Many enjoyed a dance with the esteemed principal, while others cackled at the pure insanity of their peer's dance moves. Wraths of compliments flew all around the room as people snapped photos and showed off their incredible outfits and, interesting, to say the least, dancing and singing.
Overall, it was certainly a night to remember, filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories. The hard work and preparation certainly paid off as everyone looked stunning!
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff involved especially to our student managers, Ms Jobson and Ms Felmingham. I can't wait to do it all over again next year with you all.
Thank you for such an incredible night!! :)
