MCKINNON SWIMMING SPORTS
The House Swimming Sports was held recently at GESAC. Over 230 swimmers swam in multiple events across the day with all participants representing their House magnificently!
Being the first House Event for the year, the newly appointed House Captains were eager to make their mark and get an early win for their House and demonstrated great enthusiasm and participation throughout the day.
The top of the leaderboard changed multiple times throughout the day, but it was Monash who came out as the winner of the day, capping off a successful day by winning the House Captain relay race to finish the day.
Final Results
- Monash 1440
- Gilmore 1431
- Flynn 1256
- Chisholm 906
Age group champions will also be revealed at the upcoming General Assembly, and we look forward to our swimming team competing at the Kingston Division titles on Thursday 21 March.

YEAR 7 HOUSE VOLLEYBALL
From Monday 19 February to Friday 23 February the Year 7 students competed in the 1st House Sporting event of the year, the House Volleyball competition.
On the Monday, students from Chisholm played against the students from Flynn. With hundreds of Year 7s cramming into the gym to either watch or support their house.
The house captains did an amazing job organising their teams and even stepping in to help play. Chisholm however was too strong, defeating Flynn in a nail-biting finish.
On the Wednesday it was time for Monash to play Gilmore. Once again, the atmosphere was electric with students working together to help secure a win. Wednesday’s game saw Gilmore advance to the Grand Final against Chisholm on the Friday.
The Grand Final was a much-anticipated event, with students from all houses descending on the gym to see who would be the first house to have a taste of victory in 2024. In a close game there could only be one winner… Chisholm took out the 1st event.
Well done to all the students who participated and to the house captains who inspired and motivated their students to be their best!
We look forward to seeing the Year 7s at the next house event soon.
