It’s been a busy year of sport with many achievements throughout 2025. I would like to thank all students and families who have contributed to the success of the College this year through internal and external sporting fixtures.
Congratulations to the following students who have been recently recognised for their outstanding sporting achievements and contribution to sport within NSWCCC, Sydney Catholic Schools and or sporting pathways outside the opportunities provided.
NSWCCC Bar Award - William Taylor (Year 12)


William has been an exceptional athlete and a key contributor to the NSWCCC Cricket 19 Years and Under pathway from 2023 to 2025. Throughout this period, he has represented with distinction in three NSW All Schools competitions, earning selection in the NSW All Schools Team on two occasions. His excellent performances at the 2025 NSW All Schools championships earned him the prestigious Three-Day MVP Award. William embodies the core values of CSNSW athletes: leadership, resilience, dedication, and an unwavering work ethic. His development as both a bowler and an allround cricketer has been remarkable, and his ability to perform under pressure highlights his maturity and commitment to the sport. Beyond his technical skills, William is a dependable and driven team member who contributes positively to team culture and inspires those around him.
NSWCCC Bar Award - Matilda Fanning (Year 11)


Matilda exemplifies leadership through her team-first attitude and willingness to support those around her. A highly talented netballer, she has represented Sydney and NSWCCC at the NSW All Schools Championships, where her skill and composure earned her selection in the NSW Opens Merit Team. Matilda’s ability to combine athletic excellence with humility and teamwork makes her an outstanding representative of NSWCCC sport and a truly deserving recipient of this recognition.
NSWCCC Blue Award - Solomon Freeman(Year 12)


Solomon has enjoyed an outstanding year in the pool, delivering exceptional results across all levels of the school swimming pathway. At the NSWCCC Championships, he claimed gold in the 50m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke, and 200m Freestyle, and secured silver in the 400m Freestyle. His success continued at the NSW All Schools event, where he finished second in both the 200m and 400m Freestyle and third in the 100m Backstroke. Solomon’s hard work and determination culminated in a brilliant performance at the School Sport Australia Aquatic Games, where he won gold in the 400m Freestyle and silver in the 200m Freestyle. His consistency, resilience, and commitment to excellence make Solomon a truly deserving recipient of this recognition and an outstanding ambassador for NSWCCC sport.
NSWCCC Blue Award - Lachlan Targett (Year 8)


Lachie Targett has demonstrated exceptional ability in triathlon, earning selection for both the NSWCCC and NSW All Schools teams. At the 2025 NSW All Schools Triathlon Championships, held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre, Lachie delivered a commanding performance in the Junior Male category, finishing first out of a competitive field of 90 athletes with a time of 29:46 across the 300m swim, 10km cycle, and 2km run legs. Building on this success, he represented NSW at the School Sport Australia National Triathlon Championships, where he secured the silver medal in the Junior Male Triathlon event, confirming his status as one of the nation’s leading junior triathletes.

Congratulations to all students for outstanding sporting achievements throughout the year.
Congratulations to Billy Rose who was also selected for the NSWCCC Touch Football Team.
Congratulations also to the Senior Boys Oztag Team who were Conference Champions in the back end of Term IV and proudly represented the College at the Sydney Championships. Well done boys.
