Thanksgiving Mass Years 7 & 8

Last Friday morning, the St Aloysius College Cronulla community came together for a deeply meaningful Thanksgiving Mass, marking the culmination of the college year for our students in Years 7 and 8.

The liturgy was a beautiful and reflective occasion, providing our students and staff with an opportunity to pause, give thanks for the blessings of 2025, and look forward to the holiday season.

A Special Note of Thanks

We extend our deepest gratitude to Fr James McCarthy for celebrating this special Mass. Fr McCarthy's homily resonated powerfully with our students, offering guidance and encouragement as they conclude their academic year. His presence and his unwavering support of St Aloysius College throughout 2025 have been invaluable, and we are truly blessed to have his ongoing dedication to our community.

Celebrating with Song

A special thank you must also go to our dedicated College Choir. Their wonderful participation elevated the ceremony, filling the church with beautiful, harmonious music that enriched the spiritual experience for all in attendance. The students' commitment to practice and their enthusiastic contribution to our liturgies throughout the year is greatly appreciated.

This Mass served as a fitting conclusion to a successful year of learning, growth, and friendship for our youngest students. We wish all our Year 7 and 8 families a safe and Merry Christmas!

2025 Religious Life of St Aloysius College

The year 2025 has been a vibrant and faith-filled journey for our Lasallian Catholic community. Students have actively participated in a wide range of events that celebrated our traditions, strengthened our bonds, and deepened our commitment to service. Each occasion reflected the values of faith, inclusivity, and generosity that lie at the heart of our College.

The year commenced with Valentine’s Day, where lollipops were shared as a simple gesture of joy and kindness. This was followed by Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) and Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten journey. During this time, students actively supported Caritas Australia through a range of initiatives that brought the community together. International Women’s Day and St Patrick’s Day were celebrated with cake stalls, highlighting both diversity and tradition. Harmony Day fostered unity through Jersey Day and gold coin donations, while Project Compassion continued to inspire generosity and service. The Easter season was joyfully marked with the Easter Bunny Hamper, generously donated by the Brissett family. The community gathered for many liturgical events including, the Opening School Mass, Ash Wednesday, prayer services, class masses and Stations of the Cross in term 1.

The College celebrated Founders Day, honouring our Lasallian heritage through liturgy and a fun day at Luna Park raising money for our sister school Gokkuwal in Pakistan. The Mission Action Team continued to meet regularly for spiritual nourishment and to organise social awareness events throughout the college. Mary MacKillop Day was recognised and celebrated  through prayer and a brownie stall, mufti day, and selling fondant cookies at St Aloysius Parish Masses for ACYF. The Winter Sleepout offered students a powerful experience of solidarity with the homeless. Special occasions included Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, inviting families to share friendship and prayer together.  R U OK? Day cupcake stall,  promoted compassion and mental health awareness. Students also contributed to the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal through many initiatives to raise funds for those marginalised in our community.

Throughout 2025, our Lasallian Catholic community has lived out its mission by celebrating diversity, serving others, and building strong bonds of faith and community. From simple acts of kindness to large-scale fundraisers, students have shown that faith is not only celebrated in liturgy but lived daily through service, joy, and solidarity.

This year stands as a testament to the enduring values of our community: Faith, Service, and Community.
