Leader of Year 8 Wellbeing

Miss Rebecca Hines

As we come to the close of another school year, I would like to wish all our Year 8 families a safe, happy, and holy Christmas. May this season bring joy, peace, and time spent with loved ones.

It has been an absolute privilege to coordinate and work alongside Year 8 and their families over the past two years. I am deeply grateful for the trust, support, and partnership we have shared. Next year, I will be moving into the Year 11 Wellbeing Team, and I am delighted to announce that Mr Peter Robertson will be stepping into the role of Year 9 Coordinator in 2026. I wish every student the very best as they continue their high school journey, and I look forward to watching them grow and thrive in the years ahead.

The final week of school was filled with celebration and recognition. At our Year 8 Final Assembly, students were acknowledged for their outstanding effort in class, with awards nominated by their teachers. We also presented Silver Awards, recognising consistent achievement and commitment. To add some festive fun, Year 8 competed in Christmas-themed “Minute to Win It” games, which brought plenty of laughter and showcased their competitive spirit!

I want to extend a huge congratulations to Year 8 for a fantastic term. Their behaviour, respect, and maturity during our final assemblies, awards ceremony, and Thanksgiving Mass were truly commendable. What a wonderful way to finish the year and set a strong standard as they move into Year 9.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank the Year 8 Pastoral team for all of their hard work and efforts this year. Mrs Vukovic, Mr Hillman, Mrs Stevens and Miss Mancuso, Year 8 have been very lucky to have your support and care this year.

Thank you once again for your support and encouragement throughout the year. I wish you all a joyful Christmas and a restful holiday break.
