OCC Alumni & Staff Orchestra 

Over the years, our College has been blessed with a myriad of staff and students with God-given talents of music. Our first Concert Band began in 1995, and our first Strings Orchestra in 2003. With the addition of the wonderful facilities of the Broadley Performing Arts Centre in 2011, our Performing Arts program continues to expand and create musical moments that bring joy and unity to the Oxley community. We now have 19 ensembles across the Junior, Middle and Senior School, a Year 2 Strings program and a Year 5 – 7 Instrumental program, with many concerts and events throughout the year both in and out of the school.

As students graduate and explore life beyond school and study, many things are left behind: good memories, relationships, routines, and often the practice of sports and music. It becomes difficult to continue the things we enjoy, with the lack of purpose or goal, or the right people to pursue these things with.

With the support of the College and LMC, the OCC Alumni & Staff Orchestra was established earlier this year for past students and staff to make music and create new memories together. We have been rehearsing for half a year, and we are excited to share our journey with you in the upcoming Inaugural Concert on Thursday 5 September at 7.30pm in the BPAC.
