Premiers' Reading Challenge

Our school has had a fantastic Term 2 in the Premiers' Reading Challenge, with students showing enthusiasm, persistence, and a genuine love of reading. As a whole school, we have now read an impressive 3,568 books, and 51 students have already completed the challenge — an achievement we are incredibly proud of.

This term, we would like to give a special shout‑out to the students who have most recently completed the challenge. Their dedication and commitment to reading have been outstanding:

Amelia Cavenagh, Anastasia Burt, Adele Ling, Vincent Yu, Lizzie Coy, Ching Yee Chung, Eliza Coy, Gemma Sirgiovanni, Tristan Lee, Oliver Pho, Aiden Herath, Leon Fitzgerald, Liam Sterland, Heidi Nokes, Evelyn Yau, Isla Fitzgerald, Emilia Chen, Amelia Shanks, James Burt, Hugo Wang, and Elliot Foong.

Well done to each of these students — your hard work and love of reading are inspiring our whole school community.

With the school holidays approaching, we encourage all students to continue reading at home. The break is a wonderful opportunity to relax with a good book, explore new stories, and build confidence as readers. Every book read during the holidays counts towards the challenge, and even ten minutes a day can make a big difference.

Students are also encouraged to leave a short review after finishing a book. Reviews help classmates discover new favourites and build a supportive reading community. Families looking for inspiration can explore new genres or find books that match their child’s interests.

We look forward to seeing how many more students complete the challenge in Term 3. Happy reading, everyone!
