NAIDOC WEEK

NAIDOC Week, is a time to recognise and honour the histories, cultures, achievements, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

NAIDOC Week provides an opportunity for students to learn about and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Australia's First Nations people.

NAIDOC week runs from the 5-12 July. We will acknowledge this week when we return to school in Term 3. On Tuesday 14 July, students will engage in an activity in their House Matters group that will promote understanding, respect, and reconciliation, while celebrating the world's oldest continuing cultures.

At our school, we are committed to fostering an inclusive community where all students develop an appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultures. We encourage families to join us in reflecting on the importance of NAIDOC Week and the role we all play in building a more respectful and connected future.

We look forward to sharing our learning and celebrations throughout the week.
