Cubs Club

On Wednesday, the Cubs Club met to sort and organise the bread tags and stamps that have been generously donated by our school community. We are still collecting used stamps and reading glasses, which can be dropped off at the office. This provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn about how these donations support people in need and make a positive difference in the wider community. Students also shared ideas for future fundraising initiatives and ways to support important causes.

Following this, students took part in a series of non-verbal communication challenges. One task involved organising themselves into birth month order without speaking—a tricky challenge, especially for students who had not worked together before. It was wonderful to see students demonstrating teamwork, problem-solving, cooperation and leadership as they worked together to achieve their goal.

We are looking for new members!

Cubs Club has the capacity to take some new members from grades 4 to 6 for Semester 2. As our Cubs say: "We love seeing new people come into Cubs Club. We welcome everyone, no matter who you are. If you want to do good in the world, you can join us now!"

Stamps

The Cubs Club would like to continue with these two exciting fundraising opportunities that were started last year. We are asking the Donvale Community to collect stamps (new or used) to help raise money in providing wheelchairs for less fortunate communities.

If you have any to donate, there are collection boxes located at the school office.

We truly appreciate your support—and we know the communities we’re helping will too.
