This week, 63 of our Year 10 students have been busy at school undertaking their mandatory White Card training. This valuable qualification is a legal requirement for construction environments, successfully preparing these students for their upcoming work experience placements with local tradesmen.
The cohorts were wonderfully trained by Ben Moodie from BGT, who provided highly engaging and practical sessions. Throughout the training, students developed essential safety skills, learning how to identify workplace hazards, utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), implement risk management practices, and look out for the safety of their future colleagues.
It has been a wonderful experience for everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of how well the students applied themselves, and we look forward to seeing them put their new safety knowledge into action during their trade placements.
Please note that Work Experience is compulsory for all Year 10 students as part of their school curriculum.
With placement blocks fast approaching, upcoming deadlines for returning the legal paperwork are now imminent.
