Year 11 and 12

Year 11

Well done to our Year 11 students who have almost completed Unit 1! Our Year 11 VCE and VCE VM students will be completing final assessments for their outcomes over the next couple of weeks. We encourage all students to access Compass to view their results and to discuss their progress with their teachers. Students are reminded to reschedule missed assessments and apply for Delays of Decision if needed as soon as possible.

Year 11 VCE exams are scheduled to begin on Friday 5 June. Students are encouraged to prepare well for these during the exam revision period. Any student whose attendance does not meet the requirements will have an opportunity to redeem their attendance outcomes over the Year 11 exam period.

We have some exciting events coming up. Details have just been shared about this year’s Year 11 Formal which is on Friday 12 June. We have also had lots of Year 11 pairs sign up to take part in the Sunbury College Presentation Balls for 2026 and will be running two balls. We look forward to sharing these much anticipated events with students and their families.

Year 12

The finish line for Unit 3 is in sight. In the next 2 to 3 weeks, you will be completing the final work and assessments for Unit 3. Keep up the hard work, stay organised, push yourselves, and reach out if you need any extra support. Teachers and staff are always here to help guide you through these final weeks of Unit 3 and provide a positive start to Unit 4 which is due to commence by the start of week 7.

PC Study Skills In Pastoral Care program we have just completed some targeted study skills sessions, during the morning PC sessions. These sessions were designed to support your student academic journey by building effective study habits, time management techniques, and strategies to assist in information recall. Please continue to use these strategies in and out of school, to promote a successful VCE/VCEVM completion.

E6 - Private study/Lunch room Just a friendly reminder that E6 is both a designated study space and a lunch venue. It is everyone's responsibility for keeping it clean, tidy, and respectful for everyone. Whether you're in E6 during your private study sessions, heating up your lunch or hanging out in the room for your breaks, it’s up to us all to maintain a positive shared space. The private study room is a privilege we want to maintain for everyone’s benefit. To keep it open and available, let’s make sure to:

● All food and packaging is tidied up and/or in the bin before the bell music begins

● Table and chairs are to stay in their correct grid positions before the private study session begins

● Keep noise to a minimum

● Respect the space and each other, by using positive language

By meeting these expectations, you will ensure it stays open and is an accessible resource for all students.

‘Meet the Dux’ Our upcoming ‘Meet the Dux’ event is a chance for selected students to hear directly from past and current academic high achievers. They'll be sharing tips, study strategies, and how they balanced school and home life. Invitations for this event will be sent out soon.
