Women in STEM

This term, a group of exceptional Year 9 girls went on an excursion to RMIT for a full day of STEM immersion. The girls met women who were studying STEM subjects at RMIT and gained knowledge about potential careers available to them in STEM fields.

During the lunch break the group got to experience what university life is like as we sat and enjoyed our lunch among the university students.

After lunch, the girls had the opportunity to practise building and coding windmills and fire detection vehicles.Later in the year, they will be teaching these skills to younger students as part of our promotion of STEM.
