Keen Green Team News
We have been harvesting in our final weeks of KGT this year !
The silver beet has been a bumper crop and the loquats are ripe and delicious !
The chickens are laying eggs and are being very well looked after by a dedicated team of Year 5 students.
Green Wall
Our Green Wall is coming along well. We have drilled holes into the pvc pipes donated by Bunnings and filled them with potting mix ready for planting.
With the warmer weather approaching we have decided to plants seeds into the pipes as we cannot guarantee that they will survive the summer. We can re-plant seeds in the New Year if needed. We have also planted some dwarf citrus trees, potatoes in boxes and other native plants to grow up the wire cage of the Garden Shed.
We continue to appreciate volunteers (thanks Tim Jones) with power tools and equipment that can be of assistance. If you are ever able to help please send an email to claire.ballot@education.vic.gov.au.
