Child Safety

At Aitken College we have a zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to acting in children’s best interests and keeping them safe from harm. The College regards its child protection responsibilities with the utmost importance and as such, is committed to providing the necessary resources to ensure compliance.

You can find our suite of student child safety and wellbeing policies on our College website https://www.aitkencollege.edu.au/child-safety/

If you have a belief or suspicion that a student is being, or has been, subjected to any form of abuse you must contact the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (Child Protection) or notify the College. Our Child Safety Officers are the Assistant Principals, Deputy Heads of Primary and Secondary, and our Senior Child Safety Officer is the Deputy Principal. For further information please refer to our Reporting and Responding to Child Safety Concerns policy on the College website (link provided above).

Whenever there are concerns that a child is in immediate danger, please call the Police on 000.
