Stations of the Cross
To commemorate the beginning of Holy Week our Year 2 students and a group of Secondary students led our College community in a Stations of the Cross liturgy. With great care and respect, they brought to life the journey of Jesus to the cross, helping us all to reflect on His sacrifice and love and the true meaning of the Resurrection and Easter. Thank you to all staff and students involved, especially Mrs Cuccovia, Mrs Weaire and Mrs Gilbert – your efforts are truly appreciated. It was a powerful way for our College to enter into Holy Week and connect as a community.
Wishing our College Community a Blessed Easter
“Christ is risen! I would like it to go out to every house and every family,
especially where the suffering is greatest, in hospitals, in prisons …
Most of all, I would like it to enter every heart,
for it is there that God wants to sow this Good News:
Jesus is risen, there is hope for you,
you are no longer in the power of sin, of evil!
Love has triumphed; mercy has been victorious!”
~ Pope Francis 2013

Project Compassion - Big Water Walk
A HUGE thank you to all of our students and staff who participated in our Big Water Walk for Project Compassion. Our students reached out to family and friends for sponsorship and their collective efforts raised over $1500! A special thank you to Mr Wade Old for running the day, Mr Pat McNulty and Mr Michael Peters for supporting our students during the event. Thank you also to our parents/carers who came and watched their children making a difference in this world!
Over the Lenten season, our College has united against poverty and raised over $2600 for Project Compassion!
Please remember that all donations boxes sent home must be returned to Student Services by Term 2 Week 2 and then we will be able to do a final count and see the incredible difference our donations will make.
Thank you to our College community for participating so generously in all of our Project Compassion events this term. It is wonderful to see the Spirit of Salvado in action!
Pope Francis' Monthly Prayer Intention
In April, we pray for the use of new technologies.
Let us pray that the use of new technologies will not replace human relationships, will respect the dignity of the person, and will help us face the crises of our times.
