The Kaadadjiny Hub

What's On?

The Kaadadjiny Hub has been a hive of activity over the past few weeks. Lunch times are proving to be popular in the hub for games, interactions and, of course, reading.

Currently in the main display in the Hub is dedicated to Easter and the resurrection of Christ.

Students had the opportunity to participate in a competition to guess how many M&Ms are in the jar after reading the poem.

We are happy to announce that Takyan Abel (Year 9) is the winner, and has won himself a book and some stationery! Well done Takyan! We hope you will enjoy your prize!

The Premier’s Reading Challenge has started again for 2025 (a month early). This is a wonderful free program offered to students to encourage reading for pleasure from Kindy through to Year 12. The program is endorsed by CEWA and the Education Department. For further details and registration please see the link below

Wishing you all a Holy Easter and a safe, happy school holidays.

Till next time!

Welcome to the Kaadadjiny Hub!

The Hub offers much more than just books! Whether you're interested in Lego, puzzles, chess, games, or crafts, we have activities catering to all interests, all within a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

As a K-12 campus, we have some important library guidelines to ensure everything runs smoothly:

Borrowing Guidelines:

  • Early Years (K-2): 1 book per week

  • Upper Primary (3-6): 2 books per week, plus 1 Lexile book (as needed)

  • Middle School (7-9): 4 books per week

  • Senior Secondary: 4 books per week

Primary students are required to have their RED Library bag to borrow books.

Responsibility for Borrowed Books:

Books borrowed are the students' responsibility. Overdue reminders will be sent to parents for the first 20 days. After that, if the book is still overdue, a replacement cost will be issued, and the amount will be added to the student's fees if not settled by the end of the term.

Please ensure borrowed materials, are returned in the same condition as they were borrowed. If there is any damage, students must report it to the Library Technician (kate.hendriks@cewa.edu.au) immediately for repair or replacement.

For any library related issues, please contact the Library Technician directly. Teachers are not responsible for library matters and may not have information about student borrowings.

We look forward to another wonderful year of learning and fun at the Kaadadjiny Hub!

Mrs Kate Hendriks

Library Technician
