SPORT NEWS: VOLLEYBALL

VOLLEYBALL JUNIOR OPEN TOURNAMENT

Congratulations to all our wonderful teams who competed in the Junior Open tournament last week and thank you to all our coaches who made it possible.

Results include:

• Year 7 Girls Div 1: 2nd

• Year 7 Girls Div 2A: 3rd

• Year 8 Girls Div 1: 2nd

• Year 11 Boys Div 1: 1st

We also had a number of teams in the bronze medal medal match who only fell short by a little and we are so proud of everyone's achieve

ments and the way they conducted themselves over the duration of the week.

MCKINNON VOLLEY PRESENTATION NIGHT

Our Volleyball Presentation Night was recently held on Thursday 5 December where students were acknowledged on their achievements. We also celebrated the conclusion of our 2024 year in preparation for next year which will be our 10th celebration of the club.

AUSTRALIAN VOLLEYBALL SCHOOLS CUP

To round out the year, the Year 8 Boys Honours team and the Year 9 Girls and Boys Honours teams are currently participating in Nationals in Queensland. These three teams qualified earlier in the year when placing in the Victorian competition and we are looking forward to the rest of the week up in QLD and coming home with some successful stories to share with our school community and lots of positive memories. 

Thank you to everyone who has made this year a success and extremely memorable. We are very grateful to have the support of the principal team and the entire school community to hold the events and we look forward to a successful 2025.
