Our New Training Band
Over the last few weeks Year 7 students have seen the different instruments they can learn at Frankston High School and all Year 7 students were able to enjoy a concert put on by our Senior Band.
Students and families that came to our Instrument Trial Night also got to see a wonderful performance by our Junior Concert Band. Thanks to all the music students and teachers for their hard work in preparing such great concerts.
This week our new Year 7 students started their first music lessons in the Music centre. Well done to all those students for a great first week. We are excited about our Training Band's first rehearsal coming up on Wednesday 18 March from 3.30pm - 4.30pm.
Choir and Singfest
Just a reminder Choir rehearses every Thursday at lunch in Room 73. Anyone is welcome to join who enjoys singing. We have a number of new group members already this year which is great to see. The Choir is working towards visiting Cranbourne East Secondary College on Monday 30 March to participate in Singfest.
Singfest is a day of workshops and rehearsals where students get to sing and learn with different guest conductors and groups from different schools. It will be a great day of music. If you have any questions about Choir you can email bbraithwaite@fhs.vic.edu.au.
